NJ certifies CentraState's stroke program
The New Jersey
Department of Health and Senior Services has named CentraState Medical Center a
Primary Stroke Center. CentraState is among a select group of New Jersey
hospitals that have a specially trained, around-the-clock response team of
physician and nurse stroke specialists who assess patients immediately upon
their arrival at the Emergency Department and provide ongoing collaborative care

MS Center dedicated
CentraState has named its multiple sclerosis unit The
Linda E. Cardinale MS Center in gratitude of a donation from the Vito Cardinale
family of Staten Island. For more on this story, click

The Linda E. Cardinale Multiple Sclerosis Center was developed with the support of the Mid-Jersey Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Vito Cardinale of Cardinale Enterprises to bring comprehensive care to people with MS and their families. The Center provides diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and support for patients with MS and their families. It also offers nutritional services, patient education/counseling, and complementary medicine therapies such as Reiki for those with multiple sclerosis. The Center recently graduated the third class from its MS Wellness Program, which is modeled after the highly regarded programs of University of Southern California and University of California, Los Angeles.
