Bringing a Soldier Home

Sergeant Wil Bryce with Todd Laliberte, CRH occupational therapist and retired national Guardsman.
There’s no place like home. Although Sergeant Wil Bryce is ready to return to Iraq to fight for his country, he’s glad to be back in Florence.
Bryce isn’t one for sitting on the sidelines. The part-time guardsman and full-time firefighter volunteered for his second tour of duty in Iraq because he felt strongly about the work that the 132nd Military Police Company was doing in the war-torn country. But on January 12, 2008, an improvised explosive device (IED) changed everything for the Florence native. One minute he was heading toward Sadr City; the next minute an explosion ripped through Bryce’s Humvee.
