As 2008 draws to a close and we anticipate the beginning of the New Year, the Saint Mary’s Hospital family has the opportunity to look forward and back from a momentous point in our history. On February 28, 2009, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the opening of Saint Mary’s Hospital, which to us represents a century of caring for our community.

From those early days, Saint Mary’s has blossomed from a small, community hospital built in the center of Waterbury’s industrial core to a diverse health system with satellite facilities that today extend into many of our surrounding communities. more...
